The Higher One ATM in Lee Kildow Hall was vandalized and is currently out of service.
The vault in the ATM does not appear to have been breached, but the full extent of the damage will not be determined until repairs can take place.
Students needing to access their financial aid funds will have to use off-campus machines.
Higher One will refund any ATM surcharges up to five dollars per person, per day until the machine has been fixed, as long as a copy of the receipt and an “EasyHelp” incident form are provided.
According to Ron Dorn, NIC vice president for resource management, police suspect the machine was vandalized some time on Saturday.
A campus security officer discovered the crime shortly before 7 a.m. on Monday morning.
The security camera in the hall directed toward the machine was not working at the time of the vandalism, and officials are waiting to hear from Higher One representatives if the ATM’s built in camera captured the crime.
Police have no suspects at this time.
