Education Corridor construction continues

Published on

The City of Coeur d’Alene began a storm water retrofit project in the vicinity of the Education Corridor while the project began its 1B Phase April 23.

Phase 1B of the involves extending River Avenue to Northwest Boulevard and eventually adding another traffic signal. Park Drive will be closed for the duration of this phase of the project, which is expected to be completed in June. The parking lot on the old Robin Hood Campground is also closed.

The retrofit project will make the wastewater plant more efficient and will make the storm water flow to the correct place and prevent storm water from flowing into the Coeur d’Alene Wastewater Treatment Plant, which will save money.

There may be delays and occasional closures on Mullan Road and the intersection of Garden Avenue and Park Drive to accommodate the project, which is expected to be completed by May 11.
