NIC’s Lady Cards have added a highly touted combo guard to their basketball roster this fall.
Maci Benedict led her Lebanon High School team to three straight 5A Oregon state championships.
The 5’7” combo guard said she is ready for the upcoming season.
“I think we will be really good this year,” Benedict said
Chris Carlson, women’s basketball coach, expressed a great deal of excitement about working with Benedict.
“Shes got an all around solid skill set,” Carlson said. “[She’s] a very tenacious player.”
During Benedict’s senior year of high school she averaged 12.1 points. 3.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.4 steals per game.
She a unanimous selection to first team All-Mid Williamette league, second team All-State and first team All tournament in the 5A State tournament.
She was also a McDonald’s All American Nominee, four-year varsity letterman and four year scholar-athlete.
