In the final home game of the season the sixth-ranked NIC women’s basketball team beat CC of Spokane 69-57 Wednesday night.

The Lady Cards exploded in the third quarter outscoring Spokane 22-9 to turn what was an eight point deficit into a five point lead.
Leading the way offensively for the Cards was Alivia Williams, who scored 18 points while going 8-9 from the free throw line.
Keara Simpson once again made huge contributions to the Cards effort with yet another double-double scoring 16 points and coming down with 13 rebounds.
In their final home games sophomores, Heidi Sellman and Zosha Krupa played well in

the win. Sellman put up 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while Krupa had 2 big blocks.
“They have been awesome people to have in our program, and really good competitors,” head coach Chris Carlson said, “They have been a big part of a lot wins these last two years.”
Next up for NIC is a game at Yakima Valley Saturday Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. as they try to clinch a third-place finish in the east.
