The President’s Contract Tabled Again

North Idaho College Board of Trustee’s met last Tuesday to vote on the President’s contract.

After considerable conversations among Chairman and trustees, they  agreed to move the executive session to Sept 22.

The meeting lasted only 40 minutes and there was little to no discussion of the agenda. Trustees Howard then made a motion to Chairman Banducci, and said “to continue to table the remaining items on the agenda until the Sept 22.” This has been the second meeting in August to halt the vote of President Rick MacLennan’s contract.

President MacLennan shared his thoughts at Tuesday’s meeting, “I just want the board to understand that this is continuing to be very disruptive to this institution.” Chairman Banducci disregarded the comment, and brought the board’s attention to a vote on trustee Mckenzie’s amendment. The amendment was defeated with a 2:1 vote and the executive session was not moved to the 7th, 8th and 9th.

The session came to an end at 4:39 pm without addressing the agenda items.
