The Math Education Center: What Is It?

Have you been struggling with math? Have a particular problem that you just can’t figure out, or have a problem with math in general? Can’t reach the teacher? There’s a place to get some help with that!

Inside you will find whiteboards and formulas everywhere. There are also computers as well, and everything else you would need for your your math problems! And the best part is, it’s completely free!

There are tutors who are available for all levels of math, from Pre-Algebra to Calculus III. They are always available and ready to help. “The Math Center is a place to study, and not just for when you need help cramming right before an exam,” said Sarah Adams, the Math Education Center coordinator. “You can make a point of coming regularly, and we [the tutors] are here if you need the help at any time!”

She emphasized especially if you are a new student on campus. “Normally tutors require appointments, but here students can just drop in for support without an appointment.”

The Math Education Center is located in Lee-Kildow Hall, classroom 140. It’s open from 9-6 from Monday to Thursday and 9-3 on Fridays, and even Sundays in the library from 1-5.
