The NIC music department performed the “All Things Great and Small concert April 28, featuring a variety of orchestral music spanning hundreds of years and dozens of instruments.
Performances included pieces by popular classical composers such as Back and Mozart and expended into lesser known realms including Armenian folk music and pieces inspired by 80s synthpop.
“It went really well,” said alto-sax performer Sam Rainey. “I enjoyed it. I enjoyed my performance and the performance of others as well.”
Logan Shevalier attended the concert to watch his partner, Anthony Moore, play the trumpet and clarinet.
“It was interesting. I enjoyed all of the performances,” he said.
The NIC music department will host their next concert, “Celebrating Moms,” on Mother’s Day, May 8. The free program will be held in the City Park (weather permitting.)
