Should concealed weapons be allowed on campus?

“Yes, it should be allowed because everybody has a right to defend themselves in case of an emergency.” -Cameron Tweedy

“I do think it should be allowed in case a random shooter shows up, we have someone to help out the situation!” -Scott McDrummond

“To an extent, yes but I feel like there should be some pretty heavy background checks before they are allowed to conceal.” -Carson Umphenour

“I think that if the individual has the required training that it should be our choice if we want to carry or not. I do not think that teachers should be “required” to carry though if they don’t want to. If they are uncomfortable with doing that then they will have a very uncomfortable response to a shooter with the weapon.” -Derrick Dalton

“I think it should be allowed because if some crazy guy comes and starts shooting up the place it would be nice if we could defend ourselves.” -Garrett Pomerleau

“If you have a permit I don’t see a problem with it. If you go through the legal ropes and training I think you have the right.” -Jesse Watson

“Yes, I have conceal-carried on campus for the last two years and nobody even knew. I took the advanced training course and learned how to use it properly and safely. It shouldn’t be flashed around like a badge or something.” -Dan Marquard

“Yes it should be allowed! It would be stupid to not let people carry if they have their legal permits. Everywhere on campus I see the anti-gun sticker on the doors and it pisses me off. They don’t want us to carry but some crazy guy can show up and shoot us all and we can’t do anything about it. It doesn’t make sense to me.” -Matt Ruhnke

“Yes, it should! If you’re responsible enough to go through the advanced course required to conceal then you should be able to carry if you want to.” -Andrew Houser

“Yes, we should be allowed to conceal carry. It’s the Second Amendment and our right to protect ourselves against a random shooter. You never know when it’s going to happen and I’d rather be able to protect myself and my friends if I could.” -Jake Hollenbeck
