NIC cruises to win over Treasure Valley

The NIC Volleyball team defeated Treasure Valley CC in four sets at Christianson gymnasium Saturday afternoon.

The Cardinals jumped out to a solid lead right off the bat, riding the hot start to an easy 25-17 win in the first set. After Treasure Valley took the second set, the Cards won the next two sets 25-15 and 25-16, respectively, en route to the win. Kayla Neumann once again proved why she is one of the top players in the NWAC with 24 kills and 12 digs. The 2017 East Region POY displayed her strength and abilities all game long, helping the Cardinals dominate at the net.

Haylee Templeton helped set up Neumann and others, finishing with 48 assists. Kaitlin Hunter and Chloe Hudson each recorded nine kills.

NIC improved to 5-1 in NWAC play and brought their overall record to 18-9. They will host arch-rival Spokane CC Wednesday night at 6 p.m.
