Swing into Fun

Swing into Fall is a night to remember, as students swing dance the night away and help fundraise money for the Actors, Vagabonds, and Such club Friday night.

Connor Stubbs, a dance instructor, came early to teach the basic technique of swing dancing that gave way to good times.

The event included fall theme decorations and concessions that provided sugar cookies, soda, and other treats for dance weary patrons.

People I talked to said they loved the event and really liked it, along with dancers seeming to enjoy themselves.

There was good music variety ranging from Elvis Presley to Country. Helen Larreau, Hannah James, Lorelai Provolt, and Jeffrey Parsons also covered songs as well.

Helen Larreau covered Selena’s “Amore Prohibido.” Hannah James and Jeffrey Parsons covered Frank Sinatra’s “Fly me to the Moon.”

The entry fee is worth the $5 for a wonderful event and I can not wait for what the club holds in store for the future.
