The ribbon has been cut for the DeArmond Building

The DeArmond Bulding was officially opened Tuesday afternoon at the North Idaho College campus.

This new building will serve all five colleges and universities represented at the North Idaho College campus: Lewis-Clark State College, University of Idaho, Boise State University, Idaho State University and North Idaho College.

Lewis-Clark State College president Cynthia L. Pemberton described this new building as a shared front door.

NIC president Richard MacLennan cut the ribbon to officially open the new DeArmond Center.

The DeArmond Center has been named after generous donors Bob and Leona DeArmond.

“To me, this is a legacy to them,” said DeArmond’s representitive Peggy Jahnke.  “And education was just so important to him [Bob DeArmond].”

The DeArmond buliding welcomes students with staff representing North Idaho College, Lewis-Clark State College, and University of Idaho.

Students will be able to speak with college representitives to work on their admission and transfer process, financial aid, tutoring services, laptop rentals, general advising, and much more.
