Last Week’s Cardinal Recap

The North Idaho gym was packed last Friday as the NIC men’s wrestling team had an exciting match day on campus. Kobi Johnson and Kaua’i Tapia both won by technical foul, and Brandan O’brien with another win by pinning his opponent.

Last week on January 16th, both the men’s and women’s basketball teams traveled to battle the Blue Mountain Timberwolves. The woman fought till the end with Paige Beem having 39 points and her teammates averaging in the 30s each.

The men’s game had everyone on the edge of their seats and only winning by 2 points! #3 Brendan Johnson averaged 40 points that game and only three of his teammates averaged below 20 points.

The Men continue to be a force on the floor after traveling to Spokane and winning 100 – 83. Codi Cambell had 20 points in just the first half and Taden King led the scoreboard with 32 points.

Lady Cardinals had a victorious night in Spokane after beating the opposing team 68- 54. Addie Kiefer was the leading scorer of the night with 38 points.
