Student Café Chronicles: Revival Tea Company

Downtown Coeur d’Alene is a hub of local coffee shops and eateries. Over 20 coffee roasters, tea shops, and bakeries are within a 3-mile radius of NIC’s campus. Each shop offers a unique set of study spaces, amenities, atmospheres, and treats, Revival Tea Company being one such example.

Revival Tea, located just one mile from campus at 201 N 1st Street, specializes in. . . well. . . tea. Over 47 varieties of black, green, and herbal teas are available, hot or iced, for customers’ enjoyment. Revival also offers boba tea drinks and a selection of food, including açaí bowls, avocado toast, and mini chai waffles.

For those true tea enthusiasts who wish to replicate the Revival experience at home, the shop sells all 47 tea varieties, in-store, in loose-leaf form.

Although this shop caters mostly to the tea lovers of the world, coffee enthusiasts have the option to order espresso shots in their chai lattes.

For interested students, the Revival Tea Company offers amenities such as:

  • Free wifi
  • Varied seating options (barstools, couches and round tables)
  • Natural light and a view of the Coeur d’Alene Sunset Park

The shop does not offer a discount for NIC students but does advertise a membership that purchases unlimited tea, hot or iced, for $50 a month.

The company opened its first store in Downtown Spokane Washington in 2020 and expanded to a shop in Coeur d’Alene in 2023. The company also has an online platform where they sell their loose-leaf tea and accessories.

“We believe that tea should be bold, exciting, and packed with pure flavor,” said Revival’s Founder, Drew Henry, on the company’s website.

“Welcome to the Revival.”
