Picture This: Poster contest opens for North Idaho art festival

The 57th Annual Art on the Green is hosting a poster contest to find art for this summer’s festival.

The contest winner will receive a $300 prize and have their work adapted into pins, T-shirts, programs, and more to be displayed at the festival. Art on the Green asks that entries are the creator’s original work and all submissions must be received by March 17 at noon.

The festival will be held on the grounds of North Idaho College and includes booths for participating artists, food, entertainment, and interactive art for both children and adults. 

Art on the Green was founded by Sue Flammia in 1968 as a “fine arts outdoor festival” that aims to encourage and support the arts. 

On the festival’s website, Flammia describes Art on the Green as “creative, peaceful, harmonious, people of all ages coming together to celebrate each other, the arts and community.”
