Resident Life: Midterm Meltdown and More

Midterm week has come and gone, and for the students living in the residence hall, it meant distracting themselves with Slime Mania and talk-offs.

Monday night, the resident assistants set up the Theatre Room with glue, detergent, and shaving cream for the students to create their own gooey slime. With the instruction of the RAs, people were able to make slime of all varieties, from thick and sticky to thin and firm. Participants used food coloring to give their goopey stress relief all colors of the rainbow.

Tuesday night’s Ultimate Frisbee tournament was canceled due to cold weather conditions. The cold  caused residents to wake up to a winter wonderland Wednesday night, as it had snowed around two inches in the surrounding area.

Ultimate Frisbee has been postponed until weather conditions improve.

Residents were able to blow off some of their midterm steam on Thursday night with a talk-off titled “Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes”. Students created teams in a tournament style game where, if the group fell silent, they would be disqualified. The Theatre Room was abuzz with chatter and laughter late into the night.

As midterms come to a close, the residents can breathe a sigh of relief – for now.
