The office of the Idaho State Board of Education today released the names of eight finalists who will be interviewed to fill three board of trustee positions at North Idaho College (NIC).

The finalists were picked by the State Board’s executive officers, after reviewing 37 applications submitted to fill three vacancies. The finalists will be interviewed on the NIC campus later this week on Thursday, May 5 and carried via livestream. The agenda and details will be posted on Tuesday.

The interviews will be conducted by the State Board’s officers – President Kurt Liebich, Vice President Dr. Linda Clark, and Secretary Dr. David Hill.

Here are the finalists for each open trustee zone, listed in alphabetical order:

NIC Trustee Zone 1

NIC Trustee Zone 2

NIC Trustee Zone 5

On Friday, May 6, 2022, the Idaho State Board of Education will hold a Special Board Meeting at NIC to name new trustees for each open zone position. The agenda and details will be posted Wednesday.

The appointed trustees will serve until the next trustee election in November.

They will join Trustees Todd Banducci (Zone 3) and Greg McKenzie (Zone 4).

Trustees Christie Wood (Zone 1) and Ken Howard (Zone 2) tendered their resignations effective tomorrow, May 3. Former Trustee Michael Barnes (Zone 5) resigned earlier this year.
