Breakthrough Club seeking new adviser

A campus health and wellness club is looking to come back from hiatus, but first they’ll need to find a new adviser.

The Breakthrough Club was forced into inactivity after Club Adviser Jacob Rothrock resigned due to scheduling conflicts, but club members said they’re ready to come back and return to raising awareness on the importance of student health.

Club Vice President, Ashton Clark said that although club members are eager to get started, the club isn’t looking to settle on just any adviser, they’re specifically looking for someone  “who will help provide wisdom and advising skills on how to become a success.”

Clark said the club’s comprehensive approach to health and wellness, which focuses of a range of topics from physical heath, to financial and mental health; distinguishes the group significantly from other clubs.

“We don’t just speak about fitness/nutrition-related subjects when we can go broader into our purpose” Clark said. “Symbolically, we hit the outer rings until we can aim at the inner core of every health aspect there is in a human.”
